So, like most other authors out there, I have a day job. A demanding day job. With dismay, I have been watching the days of my vacation melt away. Something had to be done! In a grand effort to stave off the inevitable, I decided I should take a vacation. It would be good to get my mind off things, I thought. So last week, I booked a last minute vacation to Cuba, and I leave bright and early tomorrow morning.
Sounds good, right? Well, that's what I thought, too. And it will be, so long as the aptly named hurricane Danielle stays the course and keeps her distance. Oh- and Earl, who is expected to follow shortly afterward, is certainly not invited! At first, I thought, Cool! It's about time a hurricane was named after me! (And that's Danielle, NOT Earl, by the way!)
In any case, I've been through a number of typhoons before, when I lived in Taiwan, so I'm not overly concerned. I suppose this will simply make my vacation a little more interesting, if the storms in question do decide to drop by.
I just hope I'll get to see a little sun! Stay posted to hear about the resulting adventures...
